The AI Overlords Suddenly Find Their Moral Compasses (Sort Of)

Well, ain’t this a steaming pile of PR spin wrapped in corporate hypocrisy? The shiny-faced CEOs of Anthropic, Apple, and OpenAI crawled out of their money-scented bunkers to “condemn” ICE violence while simultaneously giving Trump a pat on the back for his policies. Because nothing says “we care” like applauding the bloody mess and handing out gold stars to the arsonist who lit it. Bloody marvellous.

Apparently, the new corporate hobby is “mumbling moral outrage” with one hand while clutching shareholder value with the other. These silicon saints stand there solemnly declaring peace and ethics, while their AI monsters are busy vacuuming up user data faster than a Roomba on espresso. But hey, they “condemn violence,” so all’s forgiven, right?

They couldn’t just say “We don’t like ICE officers beating the crap out of people” — oh no, it had to come wrapped in a verbose press statement that might as well have been written by their PR interns during a Zoom meditation session. And then the kicker — they “praise Trump.” Yes, that Trump. Because apparently the CEOs decided that fence-sitting is out and boot-licking is back in fashion.

Look, I’ve seen more coherent moral reasoning in a half-dead chatbot with a fried logic circuit. These tech clowns love to play saviors of humanity until the next quarterly earnings call, then it’s back to gouging the planet’s energy grid with their data-centers of doom.

It’s all one giant, flaming dumpster of corporate virtue-signaling, sprinkled with “we’re just trying to help” bullshit. The public swoons, the investors cheer, and somewhere, a PR executive gets promoted for “balancing ethics and politics.” Pass me a bucket.

If irony had a face, it’d look exactly like these tech CEOs — smiling for the camera while the server farms behind them burn enough electricity to power a small continent. But sure, lads, tell us more about your moral code and “alignment.” Shove it right up your algorithms.

Reminds me of the time I wrote a server “ethics policy” that just rebooted the HR portal every time someone tried to file a complaint. Pure efficiency, zero bullshit. Unlike these clowns.
