HHS, Palantir, and the AI Witch Hunt for “Wokeness”
Oh for fuck’s sake. The US Department of Health and Human Services has decided it’s time to get “smart” — and by smart, I mean batshit paranoid. They’ve apparently teamed up with the data overlords at Palantir to sic some AI tool on federal grants, hunting down anything that smells remotely like “diversity, equity, and inclusion.” Because yeah, that’s obviously the biggest problem America’s got right now — people being *too fair* to each other.
So now, these geniuses are feeding grant data into Palantir’s spooky little machine to flag “DEI,” “gender ideology,” or any other words that make right-wing Twitter influencers foam at the mouth. All of this, supposedly, to “ensure compliance” or “reduce bias.” Sure. And I’m a Zen monk who loves users. The truth? It’s political theater dressed up as “data-driven decision-making.” Fancy words for “witch hunt with extra JavaScript.”
If you think this AI stuff is bad now, wait till some intern accidentally trains it to think pronouns are terrorist cells. We’ll have entire programs blacklisted because they once used the phrase “inclusive language” in a footnote. Meanwhile, Palantir just makes bank selling their spy tools to whichever agency feels like playing Minority Report: Bureaucrat Edition.
In short — HHS is letting a surveillance company with a shady past play ideological gatekeeper over federal grants. What could possibly fucking go wrong?

Anecdote: Reminds me of the time some manager told me to “use AI to find inefficiencies.” I built a script that flagged *him* as the top inefficiency in the system. Got a meeting invite the next day… haven’t seen him since.
