Right, so apparently some people *still* think it’s a good idea to broadcast their opinions for hours. This week’s “Smashing Security” podcast – number 428, because who the hell is counting? – covers the usual garbage fire of security news.

They bleat on about red flags in online dating (like, duh), and some leaked chats from a dodgy Discord server full of… well, you can guess. Mostly just idiots bragging about being idiots, I assume. The real kicker? It’s a farewell episode for Carole Theriault. Yes, another one bites the dust. Honestly, good riddance to all of them, more bandwidth for me.

They also talk about some AI stuff (surprise!), and how it’s making everything worse. Which, frankly, is stating the bleeding obvious. Like I needed *them* to tell me that. It’s a podcast, fine. If you enjoy listening to people state the painfully obvious for an hour or so, be my guest. Don’t expect any groundbreaking revelations.

Honestly, it’s just noise. More noise. The internet has enough of that already.

Speaking of noise, I once had to debug a network issue caused by someone running a ham radio transmitter through their router’s ethernet port. A *ham radio*. Through the *router*. Some people shouldn’t be allowed near technology, let alone have access to the internet. It took me three days and an industrial-strength headache to fix that mess.
