Anthropic says OpenAI engineers using Claude Code ahead of GPT-5 launch

Seriously?!

OpenAI’s Pathetic Reliance on the Competition

Oh, for fuck’s sake. Apparently, OpenAI – those geniuses who brought you ChatGPT and a whole lot of hype – are so utterly incapable of building something decent themselves that they’re using Claude, Anthropic’s AI model, to help them with GPT-5. Yes, you read that right. They’re relying on the *competition*.

Anthropic is basically saying OpenAI engineers are feeding code into Claude to assist in development. Like they couldn’t figure out their own shit? It’s a massive security risk, obviously – handing proprietary code to rivals. But hey, who needs security when you have marketing and venture capital, right?

The article points out Anthropic is being… diplomatic about it, framing it as “industry collaboration” or some other bullshit. I call it desperation. They’re probably also trying to subtly remind everyone that Claude isn’t half bad, which, frankly, it isn’t. Doesn’t make OpenAI less pathetic though.

Expect GPT-5 to be… something. Probably overhyped and still prone to making things up. And built with a healthy dose of code from the enemy. Wonderful. Just fucking wonderful.

Speaking of relying on others… I once had to babysit a server farm for a company that thought duct tape and crossed fingers were sufficient redundancy. They called *me* when everything went south, naturally. Just like OpenAI calling Anthropic. Some people just don’t learn.
