Seriously? More of *this* Shit.
Right, so apparently Ukraine is bragging about hacking into some Russian shit – specifically, the blueprints and comms logs for their brand-spanking new nuclear submarine, the Knyaz Vladimir. Yeah, the one they just spent a fortune on. They’re claiming to have snagged a metric fuckton of data from a company called Rubin Design Bureau, which, shockingly, had some security flaws. Like leaving the keys under the mat kind of flaws.
What’s in this stolen data? Supposedly everything: technical specs, operational details, communication logs…the whole nine yards. Ukraine’s intelligence agency (HUR) is leaking bits and pieces to “help allies” which translates to “look how awesome we are” and probably causing a headache for everyone involved. They’re also claiming this will delay the sub’s deployment, which, honestly? Good. Fewer nukes floating around is always a win, even if it’s because of some digital skullduggery.
Bitdefender (who I guess wrote this article) points out that this isn’t the first time Rubin has been targeted – they got pwned back in 2019 too. So, you’d think they’d learn, wouldn’t you? Apparently not. Pathetic.
The whole thing reeks of information warfare and general chaos. Honestly, I’m just tired of it all. Everyone’s hacking everyone else. It’s exhausting. And predictable.
Speaking of predictable… back in ’98, some script kiddie thought he was hot shit because he defaced a local pizza parlor’s website. He bragged about it on Usenet. Took me five minutes to trace him and send his IP address to the owner. Turns out, the owner was a retired network engineer with *very* specific skills. The kid got a lifetime ban from pepperoni. Serves ’em right.
