According to BleepingComputer, Die Linke has now confirmed what everyone already suspected: yes, data was stolen, yes, the attackers were Qilin, and yes, this all happened because somewhere along the line someone ignored basic security hygiene. You know, patches, monitoring, not leaving the digital front door wide open with a sign saying “Bitte, steal our shit.”
Qilin, those fine upstanding cybercriminal assholes, claim they grabbed internal documents and personal data.
