Microsoft Patches SharePoint Zero-Day and a Truckload of Other Crap (a.k.a. Patch Your Damn Servers)

This time they’ve coughed up fixes for a SharePoint zero-day that was already being abused by assholes in the wild, plus a casual 168 other security holes because apparently shipping insecure software is still a core business strategy.

The headline screw-up is a zero-day in Microsoft SharePoint, you know, that bloated collaboration beast everyone forgets about until attackers are using it as a front door. This bug lets attackers do nasty things like execute code or jack your internal systems, and yes, it was actively exploited before Redmond finally pulled its finger out.
