According to KrebsOnSecurity, an anti‑DDoS company — yes, one of those clowns who swear they’ll protect you from attacks — was allegedly behind a wave of brutal DDoS attacks hammering Brazilian internet providers. Why? Because nothing sells “security” quite like setting the fucking house on fire and offering to sell the extinguisher.

Brazilian ISPs started getting smashed by massive traffic floods that mysteriously stopped right after a certain vendor showed up saying, “Wow, shame about all those attacks… want to pay us so they magically go away?” Subtle as a brick through a server rack.

Researchers and network operators traced the attacks back through botnets, infrastructure, and reused tooling that lined up suspiciously well with the same company’s so‑called mitigation platform. In other words: the fingerprints were all over the keyboard, and they were greasy.

This wasn’t some script‑kiddie bullshit either. These were sustained, targeted floods designed to cause maximum pain — knocked customers offline, disrupted services, and burned ISP resources until they were desperate enough to listen to the sales pitch.
