Like, actually getting used by real humans at scale. Why? Cheap data, Android everywhere, creators pumping out images like there’s no tomorrow, and people who actually want a fast, easy tool instead of artisanal, overcooked AI bullshit.

Everywhere else? Yeah… not so much. The rest of the planet collectively shrugged and went back to Midjourney, Adobe, Google, or whatever shiny toy already lives in their workflow. Images 2.0 isn’t bad — it’s just not “holy shit, drop everything” good. It’s “neat, I’ll try it once and forget it exists” good. That’s death in tech.

The article basically says India’s growth is real and impressive, but globally this thing hasn’t cracked the winner circle yet. Usage spikes don’t magically turn into money, infra costs are still a flaming dumpster fire, and OpenAI still has to figure out how to make this shit pay without melting GPUs or angering regulators.
