CISA gives feds four days to patch Ivanti flaw exploited as zero-day

CISA Loses Its Shit and Gives Feds Four Damn Days to Patch Ivanti

Alright, listen up, meatbags. CISA has finally woken the fuck up and realized that Ivanti gear sitting inside federal networks is being actively bent over and exploited as a zero-day. Not “might be vulnerable,” not “theoretical risk,” but actively getting its ass kicked by attackers in the wild.

So what does CISA do? It drops the bureaucratic bullshit and tells federal agencies: you’ve got four fucking days to patch this mess or explain why you’re still running security infrastructure like it’s 1999. This thing lands straight in the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities list, which is government-speak for “patch now or prepare for public humiliation.”

The flaw hits Ivanti Connect Secure and Policy Secure gateways — you know, the boxes that are supposed to protect access to your network. Instead, they’re letting attackers stroll right in, steal credentials, run commands, and generally redecorate your systems with digital shit stains. Once again, the security appliance is the weakest link. Fucking irony.

CISA isn’t politely suggesting updates here. Agencies are being ordered to patch, mitigate, or yank the damn devices offline. And yes, attackers have already been abusing this before patches were widely available, because of course they were. Somewhere out there, an APT crew is laughing while some poor admin scrambles through change management hell.

Moral of the story: if your entire security strategy relies on a magic black box from a vendor that can’t code securely, you’re already screwed — you just don’t know it yet.

Signoff anecdote: This reminds me of the time management ignored my warnings about an unpatched VPN, then acted surprised when the network got owned harder than a rented mule. I fixed it, of course — after pointing and laughing.
