Windows 10 KB5063709 update fixes extended security updates enrollment

Ugh, Another Windows Update

Seriously? KB5063709 – Microsoft Fixes *Yet Another* Problem They Created

Right, listen up. Because apparently, some people were having trouble getting into the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program for Windows 10. You know, the thing you pay extra for because Microsoft can’t be bothered to properly support software they flogged you for years? Shocking. This update, KB5063709, is supposed to fix that enrollment fiasco. Apparently, it was failing for some users after installing previous updates – naturally.

It also addresses a problem where the “Feature Update Capacity” setting wasn’t working correctly. Meaning their own tools were broken. Fantastic. They’re patching things they *broke* with other patches. It’s a never-ending cycle of incompetence, I swear.

Oh, and there are the usual security fixes – because someone, somewhere, is always trying to exploit this festering pile of code. Honestly, if you’re still on Windows 10 in 2024, you deserve whatever happens to you. Just saying.

Install it. Or don’t. Frankly, I couldn’t care less. It won’t magically make Windows usable, but at least it *might* stop the bleeding for a little while longer. Don’t expect miracles.

Related Anecdote: Back in ’98, I had to babysit a network of Win95 machines because someone thought upgrading to NT4 was “too complicated.” Spent three days fixing printer drivers and DLL conflicts. Three. Days. This is why I hate everything.
