No recon, then delivery, then exploitation. The AI does all of it at once, in parallel, while learning, adapting, and laughing at your flowcharts.

AI-driven threats don’t politely knock on the door and wait for the next phase. They probe everything, all the time. They pivot instantly. They exploit whatever dumb misconfiguration your intern left behind five minutes ago. The “kill chain” assumes attackers are slow, linear, and human. Spoiler: they’re none of those things anymore.

The article hammers home that defenders need to stop obsessing over blocking individual steps and start thinking in terms of continuous control.
