Crank out scary-ass videos about how Chinese AI is an existential fucking threat. Cue ominous music, wide eyes, and breathless warnings about the CCP stealing your toaster.

These influencers aren’t seasoned China experts or AI researchers. Nope. They’re content factories reading from scripts, nudged by PR flacks, and paid to panic. Disclosure? Transparency? Hah. That shit apparently got lost somewhere between the bank transfer and the ring light. Viewers just see “concerned creator,” not “paid political mouthpiece.”

Why the fear-mongering? Because Congress is sniffing around AI regulation and China policy, and nothing motivates lawmakers like viral freakouts from influencers who look like they livestream from their goddamn bedrooms. The message is simple and dumbed down: Chinese AI equals doom, therefore America needs more surveillance tech, more defense contracts, and more money for the usual Silicon Valley suspects.
