Fake Claude AI website delivers new ‘Beagle’ Windows malware

Fake Claude AI Site Drops Beagle Malware Because Of Course It Fucking Does

Alright, listen up, you beautiful parade of poor life choices. Some asshats spun up a fake Claude AI website and used it to shovel a shiny new piece of Windows malware called Beagle straight down users’ throats. Why? Because idiots keep downloading “AI tools” from random websites like it’s 1999 and the internet is a friendly fucking place.

The scam works like this: you Google Claude AI, click the wrong goddamn link (because ads and SEO spam are a dumpster fire), land on a convincing knockoff site, and download what you think is an AI app. Surprise! It’s malware. Beagle then proceeds to snoop around your system, steal browser data, credentials, and other juicy shit, and report back to its scumbag overlords.

This thing isn’t some script-kiddie garbage either. Beagle is modular, actively developed, and designed to stick around like a bad fucking rash. It abuses legitimate Windows processes, avoids detection, and basically laughs at your “but I have antivirus” optimism. Spoiler: your AV is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

The moral of the story? If you download AI software from anywhere other than the official vendor, you’re begging to get owned. Cybercriminals have realized AI hype equals easy victims, and they are milking that shit like a diseased cow. Expect more of this, because humanity keeps proving it will click anything with a shiny label.

Back in my sysadmin days, I once watched a CFO infect the entire network because he wanted a “free PDF converter” five minutes before a board meeting. This Claude scam gives me the same warm, murderous nostalgia. Different year, same stupid users.
