Netherlands Yoinks 800 Servers, Cybercrime Hosts Cry Like Babies
Alright, gather ‘round, you packet-dropping muppets. The Dutch authorities finally got off their clogs and seized around 800 servers from a so‑called “hosting provider” that was basically a digital crack house for cybercriminals. This outfit wasn’t just accidentally hosting bad shit — it was allegedly enabling ransomware crews, botnets, malware-slinging assholes, and every other flavor of internet scum that thinks “bulletproof hosting” means “immune from consequences.” Spoiler: it fucking doesn’t.
Law enforcement rolled in, pulled the plugs, and hauled the hardware away like it was overdue library books. The servers were allegedly being used to support cyberattacks worldwide — ransomware operations, DDoS-for-hire bullshit, and other criminal dumpster fires. And yes, this caused “disruption” to customers. Boo fucking hoo. If your business model depends on looking the other way while criminals burn the internet, maybe don’t act surprised when the cops kick the door in.
The seized gear is now evidence, which means investigators get to trawl through it and map out who was doing what, to whom, and how much damage they caused. Translation: a whole lot of idiots are about to learn that hiding behind shady hosting companies is not the same thing as being invisible. Turns out the cloud has a fucking ground, and the police know where it is.
As usual, this is another reminder that “neutral hosting” is a fairy tale told by people making money off crime while pretending their hands are clean. If you knowingly enable cyberattacks, don’t be shocked when the state shows up with a warrant and a forklift.

Sign-off anecdote time: This reminds me of the day a “totally legit” customer swore their server was just for email, right up until it started spewing spam like a drunk firehose. We pulled the plug, they screamed censorship, and five minutes later the cops called asking if we’d seen that box. Good times.
