Seriously? Another End of Support Announcement.
Right, listen up, you lot. Microsoft is killing off support for Windows 11, version 23H2 (Home and Pro) in… *checks notes* …thirty days. Thirty freaking days! October 10th, 2023 is the date to remember if you want to avoid being a security risk. They’re pushing everyone to 24H2, naturally. Because planned obsolescence is their whole business model, isn’t it?
If you haven’t updated yet – and frankly, I question your life choices if you haven’t – you won’t get security updates after that date. Meaning you’re basically inviting every script kiddie and nation-state actor to have a field day with your machine. Don’t come crying to me when you get ransomware; I *told* you so.
Enterprise editions have a slightly longer grace period, but honestly? If you’re running an enterprise and still on 23H2 this close to EoS, your IT department deserves a stern talking-to. And possibly firing. It’s not rocket science, people!
Just update already. It’s annoying, it probably breaks something else, but it’s better than being completely exposed. Honestly, the whole thing is just… infuriating.

Speaking of updates, I once had to babysit a server migration that went so badly the entire network was down for 72 hours. The root cause? Someone hadn’t tested the compatibility of a single piece of ancient accounting software. Ancient! It ran on Windows XP, for crying out loud. I swear, some people just want to watch the world burn.
