Intel unveils new processor powered by its 18A semiconductor tech

Intel’s Latest Clusterfuck – Summarized (Because I Have To)

Oh, *Great*. More Intel.

Right, so apparently Intel thinks we give a damn about their new “Core Ultra 200” processors. They’re built on this “18A” process node they’ve been yapping about for ages – basically smaller transistors, which means more stuff crammed onto the silicon. Big whoop. Supposedly it’s faster and more power efficient than their previous garbage, but honestly, I’ll believe that when pigs fly.

They’re shoving in a new “Neural Engine” for AI tasks – because *everything* needs “AI” now, even if it doesn’t. It’s all marketing fluff to distract you from the fact they spent years playing catch-up with AMD and Apple. They claim performance gains over competitors, but benchmarks are always cherry-picked, aren’t they? Don’t expect miracles.

The real kicker? These things won’t even be *available* until early 2025. So you can get excited now for something that will probably be outdated by the time it actually ships. And of course, it’s only coming to select laptops initially. Because why make life easy?

Basically, Intel is still trying to claw its way back into relevance. This processor *might* be a step in the right direction, or it might just be another expensive disappointment. I’m leaning heavily towards the latter.

And a Story For Ya…

Look, I once had to debug a server farm that was running Intel processors from the early 2000s. The entire thing crashed because of a faulty batch of thermal paste. *Thermal Paste*. Hours wasted on hardware that couldn’t even handle its own heat. So yeah, forgive me if I’m not exactly thrilled about another Intel announcement. It just reminds me of all the pain.
